š¾ 6-Week Puppy Development Update š¾
At 6 weeks old, Winnie's pups are in a key stage of development where they learn quickly and become more aware of the world around them. Their brains are growing fast, and theyāre starting to explore, problem solve, and interact with confidence.
Theyāre in the heart of their socialisation window, learning important skills such as bite inhibition, canine body language, and how to interact calmly with people. Gentle exposure to everyday sounds, new textures, toys, and handling helps them build positive associations that will support them throughout life.
The pups are now fully weaned, eating well, and beginning to settle into simple routine of play, rest, and toileting. Physically, theyāre becoming more coordinated, running, climbing, and playing more independently each day.
Handling essentials like brushing, checking ears, and touching paws are introduced at this age to prepare them for future grooming and vet visits. Small, positive experiences now help them grow into confident, well adjusted adults.
With a couple of weeks left before they leave for their new homes, every day continues to shape their development and readiness for the world ahead.
