At two weeks old, puppies are still in the early, delicate stages of life. This period is part of what’s known as the neonatal stage—a time when they are almost entirely dependent on Bo for survival.
What’s Happening with Their Development?
Eyes Just Starting to Open: Around day 13-14, the puppies have begun to open their eyes. Their vision is still developing.
Ears Begin to Open: Their hearing is starting to kick in, but sounds are still new and unclear.
Movement Is Minimal: Puppies are still crawling or scooting. Some may begin trying to stand, but they’re still wobbly.
No Teeth Yet: Their mouths are still soft and toothless. Teething usually starts in the coming weeks.
Daily Life at 2 Weeks Old
Lots of Sleep: The puppies sleep most of the day—this helps with brain and body development.
Feeding Every Few Hours: Bo is doing most of the work
Little to No Play: They might nuzzle littermates or make small sounds, but social play hasn’t begun yet.
