A Big First Today
Today our six week old Cockapoo puppies took their very first steps outside, and it is safe to say the reaction was everything I hoped for! Tiny noses going ten to the dozen, little paws on grass for the very first time, and eyes wide with wonder at this big new world around them.
For puppies who have only ever known the warmth of the whelping room, that first breath of fresh air is a huge moment and for a Cockapoo, whose curious and adventurous spirit is part of their very DNA, you could almost see the excitement switching on in real time.
Devon supervised proceedings with her usual quiet confidence, and I stood back and watched with a very full heart.
Every experience like this builds confidence, curiosity, and the kind of well rounded temperament their new families are going to love. Today was a small step outside but a giant leap for these little ones.
